# About Latent Light

Latent Light is my personal notebook for research, learning, and connecting
ideas. I built it for my own learning and share it with anyone who finds it useful.

As AI expands our capabilities, I believe we should develop both depth and
range: understand technology, think through products, and cultivate our human
potential. The aim is not to do everything, but to see the broader system and
contribute where we can make a meaningful difference.

Entries explore questions, explain mechanisms, and test ideas. They are working
notes, not final answers, and evolve as I learn.

## What I explore

- **AI technology:** architectures, training, evaluation, multimodal AI,
agents, and the systems that bring them into use.
- **Products and markets:** user needs, product development, positioning,
marketing, and how useful ideas reach people.
- **Human potential:** critical thinking, taste, creativity, agency, motivation,
and habits that support a healthy mind and body.
- **People and collaboration:** communication, presentation, listening,
  leadership, and working well together.
- **Industry exploration:** companies, products, and technology landscapes,
examined through evidence rather than hype.

These are connected perspectives, not fixed boundaries. Understanding a model
matters, but so does knowing which problem to solve, how to test an idea, and
how to work with the people it serves.

## Why Latent Light

“Latent” hints at representations and possibilities not yet visible. “Light”
suggests the act of making them clearer.

## How I approach learning

**Simple in presentation. Complete in meaning.** An explanation should be as
simple as possible without becoming misleading. The aim is the clearest path
to understanding, with enough depth to make that understanding useful.

- **Begin with what matters.** Introduce the topic, purpose, or central idea
early, then explain why it matters.
- **Make depth available.** Start with intuition, then show the mechanism.
Give equations, derivations, implementation details, and examples where they
help. Link to focused explanations rather than repeating whole subjects.
- **Keep conditions visible.** Place essential assumptions and limitations
  beside the claims they qualify.
- **Choose the medium for the idea.** Use a diagram to clarify a relationship
or an animation to reveal a process. Video and audio should offer another
useful way to follow an explanation.
- **Follow the evidence.** Prefer primary sources, distinguish findings from
interpretation and personal experience, and revise conclusions when the
  evidence changes.

Before publishing, I ask what can be removed without weakening understanding,
and what must remain to prevent misunderstanding.
